Maggie is ONE and this donut smash cake session was super SWEET!

This sweet girl was a little unsure of the setup and having someone there taking photos of her. That is, until the donuts came out. Ha! As soon as she saw the pink iced donuts covered in sprinkles, she was instantly happy. I mean, who wouldn’t be?! Once the donuts came out, she didn’t care that everyone was watching her or that I was there to photograph her. It was all about the donuts.

Maggie kept me laughing throughout her donut smash cake session with her excitement and her smile. Look at those two tiny bottom teeth. Adorable! Having the balloons, blanket and donuts helped keep her entertained and focused. She had one outfit change into a pink tutu and pearls. It fit the vibe perfectly and gives parents a variety of images to have. If you want to incorporate more than one look in your session (or your child), just let me know!

Cake smash sessions are at the top of my favorite things to photograph. You don’t need an elaborate setup or location. These can be done in my home studio or even in your back yard, just like Maggie’s was. I love seeing how creative parents get with themes, but also how messy the little ones get. It’s fun for them and creates the cutest, memorable photos. I would highly recommend not missing out on these sessions. They’re only one once. The donut theme for Maggie’s cake smash was perfect and made her day! Thanks for all of the smiles, sweet girl.
