Fall is a wonderful and BUSY time of year. Is there anyone that doesn’t look forward to it?? Football games (GO DAWGS!), pumpkin everything, decorating for each holiday, hoodies, smores by the firepit, and the cooler weather. Where are my sweater and leggings people at?! I love all things Fall.
With so many holidays at the end of the year, it really pulls families together and it’s the perfect opportunity for extended family sessions. You only need thirty minutes to an hour. Everyone can come up with that amount of time for some great photos. It’s important. One day, photos will be all that remains. If you’re not taking advantage of the togetherness, you definitely should! The Ruchty family took advantage of their time while their children were in town for Thanksgiving.
I met up with the Ruchty family and their pup for a Fall extended family session at the park. The weather was sweet, but their pup was sweeter. I’m not going to lie, he was a little intimidating when I first saw him. But, I quickly came to realize how sweet he is and very well trained. If you’re wondering if you can include your family pet in your session, the answer is YES! I love meeting all of the special additions. Please just give me a heads up so we can make sure pets are allowed at the location we’ll be photographing at.
Besides capturing group photos, it’s also a great opportunity to get individual family portraits. You can knock out two birds with one stone. We walked, laughed, and had a great time during the session. The lighting and weather wasn’t too bad either. Ha.
It was a pleasure meeting this new family. Here are a few of my favorites from their session. Don’t miss the adorable pup!
Leave me a note!
