It was a Fall Fayetteville wedding to remember!

I first met Megan + Matt at their engagement session. I had spoken to Megan several times by then, but met them for the first time at their engagement session. When I meet my couples I have a genuine curiosity. What will they be like? Are they easy-going or serious? Will we have anything in common? I had these exact thoughts on my drive to meet them. It didn’t take long to recognize what a great couple they are. Megan + Matt are so easy-going, fun, kind, and genuine. They enjoyed each moment of their engagement session and truly “lived in the moment”. They didn’t have unreasonable expectations. Their focus was on each other. They just wanted to be married. I knew their Fall Fayetteville wedding would be no different. Their focus would be on each other and those they love most.

Megan + Matt said “I Do” in front of family and friends at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fayetteville. It was a gorgeous October day and the weather couldn’t have been any better. The bridesmaids wore dark green dresses and the color was seen throughout the wedding details. Megan wore a beautiful green cape. The details on the cape were nothing short of amazing and completed her dress perfectly.

I watched Megan + Matt as they waited in anticipation throughout the morning, before finally seeing each other at the ceremony. They opted to not have a first look together. That afternoon their moment finally arrived. During ceremonies, most people look at the bride as soon as she arrives. I get it. They want to see her walking down the aisle, her dress, and her flowers. I on the other hand, always look at the groom first. I want to see his reaction as he sees the woman that will be his wife. Matt’s smile said it all. It was a wonderful moment. During their ceremony they had communion where they also served their family and friends. It was a heartfelt moment watching them say “I Do” at the exact location that they both worked hard in building for their wedding day!

It was wonderful meeting Megan + Matt’s family and closest friends, getting to see their smiles and laughs behind-the-scenes, and witnessing their very first look at the ceremony. It was an honor to serve this couple and play such a small part in their big day. Here’s a glimpse into what their wedding day was like. I hope you enjoy!
