Last week we had a snow day and it was cold. Freezing cold. Bitter cold. You get the point…

I honestly can’t remember if it snowed last year or not. (mom brain) I’m sure it probably did at some point. All I know is that Carter was a few months old and she wasn’t introduced to snow. Once I heard we were going to have a snow day this year, I made sure I was ready. Carter is old enough that she can finally play in the snow and I knew Sawyer would be ready as soon as the snow started sticking to the ground. We don’t get a lot of snow in Atlanta, but I love every bit that we get.

We woke up on Wednesday to super cold temps and a lot of wind. It was tempting to stay inside next to the fireplace where it was warm and cozy. However, this south Georgia girl still gets excited when she see’s snow too. So, our whole family bundled up in multiple layers and headed out to the yard. We played in the snow and threw snowballs and somehow forgot to make a snowman. How did that happen?! Carter LOVED the snow so much that she threw a fit when we went back inside. I’m so glad our family was able to enjoy the snow even if just for a little while. Oh- and the photo at the end? Yeah, Carter face planted into the snow. Ha ha! Here are a few photos from our family snow day!
