Our family vacation this year was one for the books! Our oldest daughter, Sawyer, just turned 5 years old and really wanted to go to Disney World. We had already decided to go to the beach for a week not too long after her birthday. So… why not take one big vacation and go to both places?! When we made that decision, it didn’t seem like a big deal. Sure, there would be some extra driving time, but no biggie. We probably should have thought it through a little more. That much driving time with a 5 year old and 1 1/2 year old was a little crazy. BUT I’m so glad we did it! Not to mention, we had reinforcements. Thanks Nana & Poppy!

We went to Disney Springs where we shopped and ate at Planet Hollywood. The next day we went to Magic Kingdom. Both of our girls saw numerous characters (Minnie Mouse is a big deal for them!) rode rides, and ate ice cream. We left exhausted, but had a blast! The following day we headed to Mexico Beach for a week. You know what comes with that, right? Long days on the beach or swimming in our pool, searching for the perfect seashells, and eating the best seafood EVER!

I’m so thankful we were able to take this vacation, even though all of the traveling initially had me anxious. We had a great time and made so many wonderful memories. Sawyer is already asking to plan another trip to Disney! Ha ha. Here’s a little sneak peek into our vacation!
