Beach time is our most favorite time of the year! This is something I look forward to every single year. Our family beach portraits is something I plan for during our beach trip every summer.

Every summer we go on a family vacation to Mexico Beach, FL. We look forward to this trip each year. We count down the months until we’re back in our favorite little beach house. The hardest part of our days is deciding if we want to spend it at our pool or on the beach. Having this week to ourselves is something we not only want, but need every year. We truly feel like we get to completely wind down and relax. There’s nowhere we have to be, nothing we have to do. Just relax. It’s the best.

With each vacation, I never miss out on the opportunity to photograph my kiddos. I keep my camera handy at all times making sure to document our moments together. This summer, our little guy got to enjoy his very first visit to the beach. He was a little unsure about the sand, but he warmed up to it very quickly. I think he will have a love for the beach just like we all do. I’ve seen my girls grow and enjoy our time here and I can’t wait to see the three of them together playing in the sand.

Out of all the trips we take during the year, Mexico Beach is a top priority for us and will always be. Does anyone else feel like time truly only slows down at the beach? I never feel as relaxed anywhere else. Maybe I should invest in a beach house when I retire, a long time from now. Ha ha! I hope you have a place you get to enjoy from year to year with your family. Whatever that make look like for you, make sure to take plenty of photos and print them for keepsakes. It’s so very important to have these memories with the ones we love.
